How do I sign up for a library card?

Patrons applying for borrowing privileges must be residents of Morgan, Weber, or Summit counties. Applicants must: 

  • Sign library authorization card

  • Show valid photo ID

  • Provide proof of residency (bank statement, utility bill, etc.) 

Non-residents may apply for a Morgan County Library card for a yearly fee of $25.00.

How do I renew items online?

Login to your account and click on the "renew" or "renew all" button to the right of the items you have checked out. If your card has expired, there are fines on your account, or another patron is waiting for your item, you will not be able to renew and will need to call the library for assistance. (801) 829-3481.

How do I place a hold?

Login to your account and click "catalog." Search for the title you would like. Click on the hyperlinked book title and "hold it" to the right of the record.

How do I request an interlibrary loan?

If you do not find an item you want in the library, ask the librarian about interlibrary loans (ILLs). Patrons may fill out an ILL request form at the library or online. There is no charge for this service.

How do I download digital content?

Utah's Online Library can be accessed from our homepage, or the Libby app can be loaded to the device of your choice. Patrons will need their library card number and a PIN to login. Call a librarian today to set up an account. It is fast and easy! (801) 829-3481.

How do I order book club books through Book Buzz?

Up to 15 copies of a title can be requested through Book Buzz, part of the Utah State Library's interlibrary loan program. Patrons can make requests online at library.utah.gov/book-buzz/ or by clicking the link on our homepage.

How do I reserve a community meeting room?

The community meeting room seats approximately 10-15 people and is available without charge for community, civic, or governmental groups during library operating hours only. Private social gatherings are not permitted. The room is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Call the library to reserve. (801) 829-3481.
